anyways, i wouldnt give a damn wherever he was born cause a great person can be born anywhere anytime.

if the nepal really wants to known as the true birthplace of the buddha, we must practice his teachings and strive to become more like him and become better people by avoiding corruption, bandhas, kidnappings, etc.

the birthplace should belong to people who have done the most to follow his teachings...i couldnt careless if the world buddhist capital was shifted to sri lanka or thailand.

most of my friends here in the US thinks he was born somewhere in china and they think siddhartha gautam looks like the fat laughing buddha

its foolishness to discuss where the f@(k that buddha was born... He was born somewhat around 2500 years ago, and at that era there was no any country called Nepal or India. Wherever he was born, let it be some place that still is mysterious, so why the heck we are concerned about his birth place... I don give a shit about buddha, i am hindu and i m not interested in buddha. does it really matter to us about his birth place?? I support ur thoughts khwasa, we are just creating chaos because of our ego (or pride whatever u say) problem..
